BoxTops for CPCC
Posted on Tuesday, January 17, 2012
Parents,
It’s a new year and a new opportunity for CrossPoint to reach our goal for box tops. We have received $474.28 with box tops since September, with which teachers will be able to purchase classroom materials. Our goal is $1500.00 and I know this is possible with parent participation. If each parent brings in just ten box tops we could reach our goal for the year. Our next submission date is March 1, 2012. I will need all box tops turned in by Fri. Feb. 24, 2012. This will give me time to prepare for shipment. I want to thank you for all of your support throughout the school year in making our goal attainable.
Sincerely,
Debbie Macias

Kindergarten Readiness Testing
Posted on Friday, January 13, 2012
Dear CPCC Parents,
Kindergarten Readiness Testing will begin the first part of February. This is a standardized kindergarten readiness test, developed by Scholastic Testing Service, Inc., and is used to determine your child’s readiness for CPCC’s kindergarten program.
The cost of the test is $45.00. If you decide to register your child for kindergarten the testing fee will be applied to your kindergarten registration fee.
If your child is currently enrolled in our preschool and will be five (5) years of age by November 1, 2012, he/she is eligible to attend kindergarten at CrossPoint Children’s Center. Our kindergarten program is a 5 day a week program from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Day Care is offered before and after school if needed.
If you are planning on sending your child to kindergarten at CrossPoint Children’s Center you will need to fill out the slip below and return it to the school office with your $45.00 payment by Monday, February, 6, 2012. No students will be tested without a signed slip and testing fee.
When your child’s testing is complete you will be notified. Once you receive notification you will need to make an appointment to meet with the Director, Sonny Herr, to go over the results of the assessment. After this meeting you will have the opportunity to register for kindergarten.
Registration for kindergarten will need to be completed by March 31, 2012. Any remaining spaces will be offered to children on the waiting list beginning April 1, 2012.
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FORM FOR KINDERGARTEN READINESS TESTING. Forms will also be available in your child’s classroom file folder in the coming week.

Donate Socks & Mittens
Posted on Monday, December 12, 2011
CPCC Parents,
Help CrossPoint Children’s Center decorate our Christmas Tree. It has no decorations yet and it looks like it needs you and your child’s attention.
Each year CPCC sets up a tree and asks parents to help decorate our Christmas Tree with socks and mittens to be given to less fortunate children in the Chino Valley area. Your gifts each year help preschool age children in the area stay warm on these cold mornings.
CPCC parents and staff are always excited about the number of students who enjoy giving to other children who are in need. Thank you in advance for helping your children experience the joy of giving.
CPCC will be collecting socks and mittens through Thursday, December 15, 2011. The next morning, Friday, Dec. 16, the socks and mittens decorating our tree will be delivered to Community Charity Connection here in Chino.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
